WAM YEOSU: The UAE Pavilion at 2012 Yeosu Expo in South Korea has launched a promotion campaign for the UAE's bid to host the World Expo 2020 in Dubai.

The campaign is in line with directives from H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister and Chairman of the National Media Council to use international exhibitions to promote the UAE's bid to host the World Expo 2020 using such international events, according to Deputy Commissioner of UAE Pavilion at Expo 2012 Yeosu Abdullah Al Aydarous.

A specially-produced movie is being played on a giant ceiling screen, around the size of two football fields, at the venue in Yeosu.

He said the campaign was launched in the last week of the Yeosu Expo.

The UAE last November officially submitted its bid to host the 2020 World Expo in Dubai to the International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE). It selected the theme "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future" for the 2020 event.
