|  | RCA opens heart center in EritreaFeb 11, 2008 - 09:06 - WAM WAM Abu Dhabi, Feb. 11th, 2008(WAM) -- The UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) opened Monday the Zayed Heart Center at Arota hospital in Eritrea to train Eritrean medical cadres on heart care. Saleh Mekki, Eritrean minister of health, thanked the RCA for this initiative , stressing that the move would definitely help a lot in training and qualifying Eritrean doctors , nurses and all medical technicians associated with heart treatment. He added that the center would also help the needy patients suffering from heart problems. Saleh Al Taie, secretary general of RCA said the "RCA is working hard in partnership with The Emirates World Heart Group to provide our brothers and friends in different parts of the world with the needed support ". He emphasized the high concern of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, deputy prime minister and chairman of RCA, to provide "our brothers in Eritrea" with the required services in different fields WAM/MUS/TF |
